The XFD laboratory flotation machine in the 0.5 L to 3.0 L range is built for laboratories that need stable, low-consumption flotation testing over long series of batch experiments. Its distinguishing design points are the large air intake, which keeps energy use low, and the automatic slurry level control, which holds the pulp level steady so that froth removal and concentrate grades stay comparable from test to test.
The rotating impeller generates centrifugal force and negative pressure inside the cell, pulling air into the pulp and mixing it with the reagents. Mineralized bubbles rise to the surface and form a froth layer that the rotating scraper removes continuously. Because the slurry level is regulated automatically, the froth depth remains nearly constant, which stabilizes concentrate recovery during the whole test.
