Product Description
High-Accuracy Multi-Capacity Lab Small Planetary Ball Mill Machine with 4 Ceramic Jars

The YXQM series planetary ball mill is a high-accuracy, multi-capacity grinding workstation engineered for busy laboratories that cannot afford to wait. Although the machine keeps a compact bench footprint, it carries four grinding jars on a single turntable and is delivered with a matched set of ceramic (corundum) jars, allowing technicians to obtain four finished samples in one operating cycle.

One unit covers mixing, ultra-fine comminution, sample preparation, nanomaterial dispersion, formulation development and small-batch pilot production. When a vacuum jar is fitted, air-sensitive or oxidation-prone powders can be processed under vacuum, which considerably widens the range of materials the mill can safely handle.

Key Features
Detailed view of YXQM Planetary Ball Mill features and components
  • Four-jar parallel processing: four ceramic jars mounted on one turntable produce four samples per run, sharply reducing per-sample preparation time.
  • Sub-micron fineness: ground products can reach 0.1 micron, meeting the strict particle-size demands of XRD/XRF analysis, spectroscopy and nano-material research.
  • Vacuum-ready design: optional vacuum jars protect oxidation-sensitive and moisture-sensitive materials throughout the grinding cycle.
  • Dry and wet flexibility: the same machine grinds and mixes materials of different particle sizes by dry or wet methods.
  • Programmable variable-frequency drive: rotation speed, forward/reverse intervals and total running time can be set to follow each process recipe.
  • Precision, low-noise drivetrain: CNC-machined parts, an integrally cast planetary plate and carefully selected precision gears keep operation smooth and quiet at high speed.
Working Principle

All four jars sit on a common turntable. When the turntable rotates, each jar not only revolves around the turntable axis but also spins around its own axis, creating the classic planetary motion. The superimposed centrifugal forces make the grinding balls strike, shear and crush the material with far higher energy density than a conventional tumbling mill, so the target fineness is reached in a fraction of the time. Depending on the workload, two or four jars can be operated simultaneously.
