Y&X Standard Test Sieves are engineered for laboratory particle size analysis, material classification, and sample preparation. They are widely used for ores, minerals, powders, granules, and other materials across mining, metallurgy, chemical, pharmaceutical, food, and environmental laboratories.
Available in multiple sieve diameters and aperture ranges, these laboratory test sieves deliver consistent screening results and reliable repeatability for routine and research testing.
The test sieves support particle size analysis and screening of:
They are also suitable for laboratory sample preparation and material classification prior to further testing.
The sample is placed on the upper sieve of a stacked sieve set, with sieve openings arranged from larger to smaller sizes.
During mechanical sieving, particles are separated according to their size. Material larger than the sieve opening remains on the sieve, while smaller particles pass through to the next sieve or receiving pan.
After screening, the retained material from each sieve can be weighed to determine the particle size distribution of the sample.
| Sieve Type | Overall Size | Aperture Range | Material |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sample Preparation Sieve | 700 × 500 × 150 mm | 150–3 mm | Stainless Steel / Wooden Frame |
| Sample Preparation Sieve | Φ450 × 100 mm | 25–1 mm | Stainless Steel |
| Sample Preparation Sieve | Φ300 × 60 mm | 6–0.2 mm | Stainless Steel |
| Sample Preparation Sieve | Φ200 × 50 mm | 6–0.045 mm | Double-Layer Stainless Steel |
Y&X can provide customized test sieves according to specific laboratory requirements, including sieve diameter, aperture size, frame material, and sieve construction.
If you need a specific mesh opening or sieve size for particle size analysis, contact Y&X for a suitable test sieve configuration.
