The Fire Assay Cupellation Furnace is designed for the cupellation stage of gold, silver and precious metal fire assay. After the fusion stage, the lead button containing precious metals is placed in a cupel and heated in the furnace for cupellation.

After the fusion stage of fire assay, the resulting lead button containing precious metals is placed in a cupel and heated in the cupellation furnace.
