The Pneumatic Fire Assay Cupellation Furnace is designed for the cupellation stage of gold, silver and precious metal fire assay.
The furnace features pneumatic door operation, silicon carbide heating elements and electronic temperature control. Three chamber configurations are available for 50, 100 or 168 cupels per batch, allowing laboratories to select the capacity according to their sample throughput requirements.
K-type or S-type thermocouples can be used for temperature monitoring, with a rated temperature of 1000 °C.
The furnace door is operated pneumatically, helping simplify repeated opening and closing during cupel loading and unloading.
Available in 50, 100 and 168-cupel configurations for different laboratory workloads.
Silicon carbide rods are used as the heating elements for the cupellation furnace.
Different thermocouple options are available for furnace temperature monitoring and control.
Different controller and power configurations are available according to laboratory electrical requirements.

After the fusion stage of fire assay, the resulting lead button containing precious metals is placed in a cupel and heated in the cupellation furnace.
During cupellation, lead is oxidized and removed through the cupellation process, while the precious metals remain as a bead for subsequent weighing or analysis.
The furnace can be selected according to the required cupel capacity and laboratory sample throughput:
50-Cupel Configuration -- suitable for routine laboratory testing with relatively lower batch requirements.
100-Cupel Configuration -- suitable for laboratories requiring medium batch capacity.
168-Cupel Configuration -- suitable for higher-throughput fire assay laboratories.
For equipment selection and quotation, please provide your cupel specification, required samples per batch, daily sample throughput and available power supply.
The furnace uses pneumatic door operation with a recommended air pressure of 0.4-0.5 MPa.
The furnace is available in 50, 100 and 168-cupel configurations.
K-type or S-type thermocouple configurations are available.
Y&X Beijing Technology Co., Ltd. provides laboratory equipment for mineral processing, sample preparation and mineral analysis. We can assist customers with equipment selection according to testing requirements, sample throughput and laboratory conditions.
